Remote Control Gas Fires Review
Remote control gas fires have been around for quite some time now. From our 50 years of experience this is our summary.
If you’re looking for a remote control gas fire you should always look for quality – should your budget allow it. Inexpensive fires can seem attractive for obvious reasons but historically we have had many problems with these cheaper alternatives. As they are made on a budget they commonly don’t insulate the electric components of the fire sufficiently. Over time (often within the first 12 months) this causes damage to the electrics and causes intermittent and ongoing problems – or in some cases can be completely defective.
Our advice when looking to purchase a remote controlled gas fire would be to look for a trusted brand from a trusted outlet that can give you quality support. Manufacturers such as Legend have fantastic remote controlled fires using the best components – in turn you will have fantastic reliability over a long period of time. Top brands also tend to utilize radio wave technology as opposed to infrared – this means you don’t need to accurately point the control when operating. Some brands also offer a function whereby if you lose the handset you can make it beep by pressing a button on the fire. Although these fires will cost a little more, in the long run they will undoubtedly save you money.
